SaVE Act - Prevention of Sexual Harassment and Violence

Azusa Pacific University is committed to the belief that each person has been made in the image of God (Imago Dei).  As such, each person has inherent value and deserves to be treated with respect.   Sexual harassment and violence are in direct contradiction to this belief and are prohibited.

All APU employees are urged to become aware of the signs of sexual harassment and violence and equipped to help prevent it.   Reading the attached document will aid in this awareness and provide ways to reduce the risks.

As a Christ-centered community, we are called to an even higher standard than the laws about this topic require.  As Christians we are to be imitators of God (Ephesians 5:1-3), called to peace (Galatians 3:13), in humility to consider others above ourselves (Philippians 2:3-4), and to love one another as Christ loves us (John 13:34).    As we live out our Christian faith and values we will have a community free of sexual harassment and sexual violence.
