What to Do When My Employee Resigns

STEPS TO BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO LAST DAY OF EMPLOYMENT:

Employee:  
    • notifies supervisor of desire to resign and submits resignation letter
    • attends exit interview with Human Resources on last day of employment (this is coordinated by HR with the employee)
Supervisor
    • sends resignation letter to Human Resources (Records Department) 
    • approves final timecard (in Kronos or manually), expense reports, and any other payments needed
Human Resources
    • Employee Support/Records initiates exit process, schedules interview, sends paperwork to payroll for final check details
